Cowboys draft San Jose State DE Viliami Fehoko Jr. with the 129th pick

The Dallas Cowboys have selected San Jose State edge Viliami Fehoko Jr. with the 129th pick in the NFL draft.

Dallas has now used three of their first four picks on defense, he won the Mountain West player of the year a season ago, and had a very solid season.

He totaled 69 tackles, 19 of which resulted in a loss. He finished with nine sacks, and two forced fumbles.

Junior Fehoko was the Mountain West Conference defensive player of the year in 2022. He finished his career with 23 sacks and 47 tackles for loss. Crowded DE group now with Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, Sam Williams, Dante Fowler.

With playing at a smaller school that did not get as much national attention, Fehoko is a player who folks might not know a ton about.

I know I didn’t. Heck, had no idea he won the conference player of the year until they said it on ESPN.

From everything I have seen about him, it sounds like he dominated the Mountain West, let’s hope he keeps it up at the next level, and no he isn’t related to Simi Fehoko, but is a second cousin of Vita Vea of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cowboys are drafting players that no one wants

Wow. Another DE? Why? You have 4-5 already on the roster. Another O-Line at some.point or running back or defensive back? Do NOT resign Zeke! Doesn't matter how good your back is if your O-Line is average!

Jerry and Stephen Jones don't understand many things pertaining to the NFL. These two bumbling idiots continue to hurt the Cowboys. The draft is treated as if it's three days of fun and games. No business to transact! Team improvement and roster building count for nothing with those two. With the exception of Mazi Smith and Duece Vaughan, the other picks make absolutely no sense at all. Plus allowing Jake Moody to slip away was incompetence times two. No kicker on the roster and no kicker drafted or signed as a free agent. The Jones Family should SELL THE COWBOYS IMMEDIATELY and move on to other business ventures that they would be better suited for.

Yeah I thought we were stacked at defensive end but he will be a 3rd teamer. Wow they have holes at Sam and Will linebackers on this roster list.

Jeff Swyden High ankle sprains and broken legs typically don't affect a running back 6 months down the road. Pollard's ankle/leg shouldn't be the worry right now. Granted his health/durability for the entire year should be a concern.

Jeff Swyden yes. Jerry should have moved up in the fourth round and taken Dawond Jones and Roschon Johnson . We would have been set at one of those positions . They went early in the fourth round just like I thought they would. We should take deuce Vaughan now nearly 2000 combined yards last season
