Brian Martin's 2021 NFL Draft Safety Rankings

In a normal offseason we’d all be preparing to watch and learn more about some this year’s top prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine, but this is anything but a normal offseason. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic just about all in person workouts have been shut down, including the Scouting Combine. That’s not great news as it relates to the evaluation process.

Without these tools scouts and draft analysts are going to have to rely heavily on film more than they probably have at any point in recent history. As such, we might not see as much change in how these players are ranked right now and on Draft Day in April. With that in mind, I thought I’d share with you my Top 10 players at each position.

Today, we will take a look at the safety position.

Yeah they do drop , I didn't think Trevon Diggs would fall to us with 2nd pick , it happens quite often, at least more than you think , or they could also go higher than where they're projected, it's a bit of a crapshoot to try and predict where guys are gonna fall

Where is J. Holland of Oregon?

Good catch. I can't believe I accidentally omitted him from my list. For me, he'd be right behind Andre Cisco at #4.

I’m not sure Grant will be available at #44. As VAM said he is rising on the draft boards and is ranked just below Moehrig who is projected to go late 1st or early 2nd. But who knows? players drop farther down all the time. Especially at a position like Safety which isn’t considered a premium position.

Would love a combination of Moehrig/Grant to play FS and then one of Hufanga/Deablo to play SS.

I like the way you think Zach and I completely agree.

I'd go Moehrig in 2nd round if he's there if not , I still feel good to have Grant as a consolation prize
  6. VAM
    Oops riser not rider.

Moehrig is a fan fav. Grant is a rider. Where's A Washington? He could be a steal later on.

Washington is in that 10-15 range for me.
