Will the New York Giants be a threat to the Dallas Cowboys this season? 2

Last year a surprising team emerged from the bottom of the barrel. The New York Giants had a great season with a 9-7-1 record to cap off the year, not to mention a Wild Card win against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboys have won nine out of the last 10 games against the Giants and have dominated them in almost every game.

Will that streak continue?

For the first time in a while, it’s tough to say.

With the new hire of Head Coach Brian Daboll, the Giants are looking like a scary team to play next season.

Head Coach of the New York Giants Brian Daboll

It’s strange how a simple coach has turned the team around in his first year there. Not to mention he made Quarterback Daniel Jones look like a “good” quarterback overall.

Daboll is a very smart coach and I always see him talking with his players on the sideline about what to do and what not to do.

He isn’t a normal coach that just stands around and calls plays; he’s a leader to his players and knows how to control their talents and abilities.

While the Cowboys are projected to be a favorite to win the NFC East this year, there are still a lot of flaws and hurdles that the Cowboys have at the moment.

This is what makes the Giants look so scary. They are definitely a wild card team and can beat you when you’re not looking with ease.

The winning streak against the Giants can’t last forever, and sooner or later the Cowboys will suffer a defeat to them. The Giants will also be very motivated this season because of all the recent contracts they made. There will be plenty of hype around New York this year.

Forget about the hype though, what about the talent?

We know that the Cowboys still outnumber the Giants with talent. The Cowboys’ defensive backs, cornerbacks, wide receivers, and heck, even our offensive line is better than theirs.

Sometimes, however, it is not about talent. Sometimes it’s about brains.

This takes us back to the head coaches.

Brian Daboll is a much smarter coach than Mike McCarthy. I know, it’s a very bold statement, and many fans would choose to disagree on that matter, but the truth is there.

Daboll is taking a team with barely any skill and talent and is turning them into a dangerous franchise, while McCarthy is taking a team with extreme talent and is struggling to win a playoff game.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy

The evidence is there, Daboll is just better.

That is the main reason that the Cowboys could struggle with the Giants this year, leadership. The coaching of the Cowboys could ruin this season for them. Meanwhile, the Giants will succeed.

The Giants also don’t have too tough of a schedule next season, meanwhile, the Cowboys will be playing teams who are Super Bowl favorites like the Buffalo Bills.

The leadership needs to change for Dallas this season, or we will be going down into a hole that will be hard to crawl out of.

I think the Giants will have a very successful season this year and will make a huge mark on everyone’s record.

With Prescott still on the team any team can be a threat if we don't have a good quarter back I mean what else does our team need other than a quarterback we have a solid run game solid defense just a weak Prescott it's like he freezes when he sees those big line backers come his way

If you ask me, I think the two teams in the NFC right now that are rising are the Cowboys and the 49ers Eagles are sceptical I’ll tell you if Dallas or the 49ers would’ve made it to the Super Bowl. I don’t think Kansas City would’ve been either one of those teams.

Giants will be a threat indeed. I have them battling Philadelphia to the wire for 2nd in the division.

Dallas favored to win the NFC East? Aren’t they favored to win it every year? As inconsistent as Dallas is it’s an absurd assumption to make.

Dak Prescott will be the biggest threat to the success of the Dallas Cowboys this season

Peter Delayo back handed insults are a funny way of ‘sticking up’ for someone. Your wife may be oblivious to your insults. And i’m sorry she’s married to you.

Michael Cooper you’re exposing yourself as poorly informed with your comments. My wife has been a fan since Troy and Emmitt as well and knows Just as little as you appear to know. I defend her too when she exposes her poor understanding of the game. She appreciates it while you’re threatened by me sticking up for you. Go figure

Lou May he doesn’t know any better. This is what he reads in comments from the casual and poorly informed fan. Leave him be he’s probably new to the sport.

Thai Goobler yea yea Dak lives playing bad teams. Only problem is Giants aren't a bad team anymore. And plenty of other good teams on the schedule. San Fran, Buffalo, Miami, Philly twice. Heck even the Jets with Rodgers, cuz we know how Rodgers does against Dallas

can’t be the joke of the league since 1996, they won the Super Bowl that year.
    5. Jon Beeaker
Thai Goobler Big deal. No one is scared of the Cowboys. They're the joke of the league since 1995.
