Will Away Woes End? Cowboys Battle Dolphins in Miami

2
3 takeaways from Cowboys victory over Seahawks Thursday night

The Dallas Cowboys have one last chance to prove they can win on the road this Sunday in Miami.

The Dolphins are currently the second seed in the AFC, but people still question their ability to beat good teams.

If the same Dallas teams show up in Miami that did in Buffalo, it will be another long game.

Please Show up This Week

I am sick and tired of seeing this team lay an egg on the road against a good team.

I don’t understand what the problem is, but how do you go from averaging nearly 40 points at home to under 20 on the road?

I understand you are not in front of your home crowd, etc. but if you can’t win on the road, this team has no chance in the playoffs.

Philly hands the division lead back to Dallas, temporarily anyway.Cowboys still need help from the Giants or Cardinals, not to mention some more wins, to have a chance of hosting in the playoffs. But it feels more possible than it did, I guess.Eagles loss very likely hands…

They have talent everywhere. It should not be this embarrassing when they take their show on the road.

Take the Ball First

This squad is a front-running team.

If you win the toss Sunday, take the ball, go down the field score a touchdown, and play from in front.

Everything seems to feed off the offense lately. Make a statement early and force Miami to play your game, not theirs.

Struggling Defense

Look, this defense has not been good, let’s be honest.

They have had one good game in the last month, and that was against an Eagles offense that has struggled against everyone.

The run defense couldn’t stop me out there.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Dallas’ poor tackling in its 31-10 loss at Buffalo: “The good news I would say is that this is correctable from week to week. We have the talent. … We can specifically address what beat us in Buffalo (for this week’s game at Miami).”

James Cook gassed them for over 150 yards last week, and if Tyreek Hill plays, this defense is going to be in some trouble.

I trust Dan Quinn, but it is hard to trust the players right now.

Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence will be fine, but where is Mazi Smith, the other guys on that defensive line?

The Cowboys need this game badly.

They can still win the NFC East, and gain the 2 seed if the Eagles lose one more game.

They need to win this game to show me they can beat a good team ON THE ROAD.

They are more than likely going to need to win three games on the road if they want a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Don’t let Miami punch you in the mouth like the Bills did.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy when asked about the play of Dallas’ defensive line in Buffalo: “We’re not passing out any game balls.”

The entire team was bad last week, but hoping they get back on track this week.

It is hard for me to pick against Dallas, and I do think they wake up this week and win.

Mike McCarthy has been very good off a loss since his time as the Cowboys coach.

The cowboys find a way to win a shoot out in this one.

Dallas wins a high scoring game, 36-29.
