Per sources close to the situation NFL Network’s Jane Slater is reporting that no suspension is expected for Dallas Cowboys Running Back Ezekiel Elliott.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells me they’re confident there won’t be a suspension for Ezekiel Elliott. I’m told the Las Vegas police department removed Zeke from situation to protect him but found no merit to victim’s claim. https://t.co/HWKlbwvrZG

In Case You Missed It: “Ezekiel Elliott Tweets Apology After Meeting with Roger Goodell.”

Ezekiel Elliott met today with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss Elliott’s offseason altercation with a Las Vegas security guard. That incident found Elliott briefly detained. After the meeting with Goodell, Elliott issued an apology via Twitter to take responsibility for his part in the altercation.

Elliott could have been suspended under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy for the incident. Though it appeared minor, Elliott’s previous suspension could have given the NFL pretense to issue a suspension for Elliott during the 2019 season.

Instead, it sounds like Elliott will be good to go for 2019 and will get the opportunity to defend his NFL rushing title.
