Cowboys All-Pro, KaVontae Turpin, leads the way in Pro Bowl voting

1

Two weeks ago, before the wins over the Eagles and Chiefs, this would have been the focal point of the rest of the season.

Even though the playoffs are now in sight, Pro Bowl voting is now open and, yes, other Cowboys will make it, but All-Pro KaVontae Turpin is currently leading the entire league in voting.

TURPIN AT IT AGAIN

Fan voting began on Thanksgiving Day and will continue until December 15th.

The new thing they are doing this year is the Pro Bowl games will be held as part of the Super Bowl Week in San Francisco rather than either before or after by itself.

A total of 12 Cowboys players have landed in the top 10, but KaVontae Turpin leads the entire NFL in voting as of today.

In his fourth season as a pro, he is a 2-time Pro Bowler and earned NFL All-Pro honors in 2024.

Remember, Dallas was able to scoop Turpin up after he won the USFL MVP in 2022 when he played for the New Jersey Generals. He led the league that year in receiving yards and scored the only kick return touchdown.

He may lead the entire league in voting for his return skills, but he has made the biggest play of the season thus far, diving on that fumble late in the win over the Chiefs when George Pickens let it go, something he never does.

If Turpin does not make maybe the biggest play of the season thus far, who knows if the Cowboys end up winning that game against the Chiefs.

This is subject to change even by the time this story goes out, but a few other special teams players are right on their heels, and of course, guys like Drake Maye seem to have most of the votes after last night’s game.

Other Cowboys on the list include Dak Prescott, Javonte Williams, Goerge Pickens and Jake Ferguson.

KaVontae Turpin probably saved the season here, btw. nnfolks might wanna go ahead and change their tune about him. #Cowboys

At the end of the day, Turpin is going to need to keep doing what he is doing starting on Thursday Night Football against the Lions if he wants to help the Cowboys stay in the playoff race, but it is time to stop using him as a running back and just figure out other ways to get him the ball in space.

The season is on the line on Thursday, but nobody even expected them to win the last two games. Let’s see if they can keep it going.

Idk why he's leading the league in votes, he's nothing like he was his first few seasons in the NFL!! Now he plays scared!! He won't even attempt to shake anybody and get extra yards, he'll run out of bounds before he does that!! He does the same thing on offense now too!! In the last game he had a big gain up the left sideline and had only 2 chiefs players on him and had a Cowboys player on the inside of them, so all Turpin had to do is cut to the inside of the field and his teammate could've cut the chiefs players off and then Turpin could've took it all the way for a touchdown, but he didn't even try to do that, he just ran straight out of bounds without even trying to get more yards!! He does that every time he gets the ball in his hands!! So I don't think he should be leading the NFL in votes!! And you said at the end of the story that the season is on the line Thursday, but that's not true!! We can lose that game and still win the division!! It would be better if we can win out, but we don't have to!! We're only a game and a half behind the eagles, with 5 games left to play, so as long as we win 4 out of the 5 games left and the eagles lose 3 games, we'll still win the division!! And with the way the eagles have been playing, and with the schedule they have left, it's not impossible for them to lose at least 3 of them!! So our season isn't on the line yet!!
