Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is close to having his name in the Dallas Cowboys record books.

Lamb is close to breaking the Cowboys’ record for most receptions and yards in a season.

He is just three shy of breaking Michael Irvin’s record of 111 receptions he totaled in the 1995 season.

Lamb is also 180 yards away from breaking Irvin’s receiving yards record.

Irvin also set that record In the 95 season with 1,603.

Lamb averages 94.9 yards a game, for someone who Richard Sherman said was not a true No. 1 wide receiver, I wonder what a true top guy is suppose to look like.

Lamb has been awesome this season, yet Mike McCarthy goes away from him in some of these games, it doesn’t make sense.

He was dominating in the first half against the Miami Dolphins on the road last week.

Then he didn’t see the ball again until the 4th quarter when they scored a go ahead touchdown late.

Mike McCarthy

McCarthy got a lot of credit lately for the turnaround after the 49ers loss.

Therefore he deserves some of this when he goes away from their best player.

Brandin Cooks has come on as of late which has helped lamb in the second half of the season.

Lamb is going to be needed when this team has to go on the road for every single game of the playoffs.

Big Mike can’t be going away from his designed plays.

Lamb said he doesn’t really care about breaking the record, though.

“”It’s not really so much the stats … I just like winning. Like, I really have an obsession with winning.”

It's worth mentioning that CeeDee Lamb is already over 1,500 scrimmage yards this season. He's recorded 101 yards and 2 TDs on the ground, as well. https://t.co/YEyP9gOIpB

That is the type of attitude the team needs more of. I’m looking at you Micah Parsons.

Stop talking on your blog and worry about winning games with your defense!

Lamb and Parsons will be next in line after Prescott to get a contract extension.

I love this core of guys, and they deserve it, but man can they please find a way to win some games on the road.

Lions Matchup

The Cowboys are at home this week against the Lions, and I have a feeling a lot of offense is going to be on display.

It’s hard to see Lamb hitting the 180 yard mark to break the yardage record, but he will break the reception record tomorrow.

Dallas scores more than anyone at home, so I expect Dallas to throw it all over the yard.

It’ll be a good win against a top seed in the NFC, yet it’ll be at home.

We know they can win at AT&T Stadium.

Just be glad Lamb is doing what he is doing, because the Cowboys wasted a contract on Michael Gallup.

It’s hard to watch what Amari Cooper is doing in Cleveland and know they traded him for a 5th round pick to stick with Gallup.

Lamb deserves the money he is about to get because he’s done is every single year now.

He’s going to break Irvin’s record with an extra game, but that is what a great 88 is suppose to do.
