Brian Martin's 2020 NFL Draft Wide Receiver Rankings

It’s February, meaning the NFL draft season is heating up. In just a few days time (February 24-March 1) the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine kicks off and then after that it’s just Pro Days and private workouts leading up to the NFL Draft in April. Before you know it, the Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the league will have made their draft selections. My how quickly time passes.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves though, I thought it was as good a time as any to share with you my top-10 Positional Rankings for each group. As I continued to watch film and evaluate these prospects, expect these rankings to shift and evolve leading up to Draft Day.

Who do you compare Laviska Shaenault to? IMO I think he’s a more complete wr than Reagor.

I got to disagree with you there. I think Reagor is arguably one of the more complete WRs in the entire 2020 draft class. IMO, Shenault is a better version of Cordarrelle Patterson. He has all the tools to be one of the best in this draft class, but he has to improve the mental side of the game and his route running to accomplish that.

I like him, but as a third or fourth-round pick. For some reason or another I just can't get a good feel for him yet. I like his game, but there's something about him that bothers me that I can't put my finger on. He's somebody I'm looking forward to see at the Combine.

Ruggs before Jeudy? Interesting. Why so?

I have Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, and Jalen Reagor ranked pretty similar. I gave the edge to Ruggs though because of his rare God-given speed. That alone makes whatever offense he joins more dangerous. I do think both Jeudy and Reagor are better WRs right now because of their route running ability. Out of the three though, Ruggs has the highest ceiling IMO.
