2021 NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys Select Stanford WR Simi Fehoko

The Dallas Cowboys have selected Wide Receiver Simi Fehoko with a 5th-round pick, 179th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft. Fehoko just finished his junior year at Stanford.

While listed at 6’4″ and over 220 lbs., Fehoko ran a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. He makes an excellent developmental prospect at WR, something Dallas didn’t really have going into the weekend.

Here in fifth round, Cowboys are selecting former Stanford WR Simi Fehoko at No. 179 overall. Big receiver at 6-4 and 222 pounds. Initial impact should come on special teams.

The Cowboys have a solid five at WR currently with their big three of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb plus experienced backups in Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown. Fehoko may be able to push Brown for that 5th spot, though, if he can contribute on special teams.

Dallas started the 2021 Draft with six defensive picks but have used their last two on offense; Fehoko and OT Josh Ball.

Welcome to the Cowboys, Simi Fehoko!

That's spot-on Cowboy Fan Ed. You only have to look at Aaron Rodgers up in Green Bay. Want better receivers, give up some of your king's ransom! Don't want to, then get the hell outta Dodge partner!!!

I’m always in agreement that we need studs backing up studs on the OL! I don’t care who the QB is if he doesn’t have time to throw the ball he will only be average at best! Watch how Patrick Mahomes does in the next few years or look at Russell Wilson he is wanting more help up front to protect him! The only thing that kinda aggravates me is that if these QB’s would take a little less money so that teams could pay for better linemen I would be all in on the argument to protect them!

Ruben, I couldn't agree more. Shocking we didn't use a 3rd on an OT, especially to replace one of the last two picks of the round that were are likely grossly overdrafted as everyone believes.

Prescott, I sure hope you invested in some damn good running shoes!! You may want to get some good eyes for the back of your head!! Since, you only good enough for 5th round help!! But, Troy Aikman got first and second round help!!

Question is, can he get open enough for Dak to pull the trigger in his direction? Hopefully, Dak has made strides in throwing guys open or throwing the jump ball to guys who aren't obviously open or coming back to him because this guy isn't a very good route runner to get open.

I would have rather had Marvin Wilson. Some more help on the D line is a bigger need.

Nice solid pick for Dallas. He's a tall, physical WR to add depth. I like this pick. It was a deep WR class which explains his slide
